History

The success story began in 1993. At that time the managing partner Joachim Görlitz established the company on the Am Mellensee site, together with his father. A workforce of 35 was employed at that time. Today, AMBAU GmbH operates four manufacturing sites and has over 750 employees.

The company is founded by managing partner Joachim Görlitz and his father on the Am Mellensee site (formerly Sperenberg) with 35 employees.

1995
1995

Founding of AMBAU Personalservice in Ludwigsfelde. 70 employees now work for AMBAU.

1997
1997

Takeover of the Gräfenhainichen manufacturing site. AMBAU employs a workforce of 111.

2001
2001

Tower production commences in Gräfenhainichen. 160 employees are involved in this success.

AMBAU expands again with the takeover of the Bremen manufacturing site. AMBAU now numbers 185 employees.

At the end of the year the workforce totals 205 employees.

2007

Founding of AMBAU Windservice (rotor blades & tower service) at the Gräfen-hainichen site. AMBAU now employs 220 people.

2008

At the end of the year AMBAU commences the first worldwide series production of towers of the 5 MW class in the new manu- facturing facility at Cuxhaven. AMBAU now numbers 550 employees.

Opening of the Dessau-Roßlau site. 700 employees work for AMBAU.

The AMBAU corporate group employs over 750 people on five sites. The sixth plant at the Cuxhaven site is in the planning stage.
