The order to manufacture 41 transition pieces (TPs) for Bladt Industries A/S to be used in the EnBW Balitic 2 wind farm came to an end on 16 October 2014 as the TPs were loaded up for shipment. A total of 8,569 tonnes of steel had gone into the contract over the last few months.
On 24 September 2014 the largest offshore tower to date left the AMBAU plant in Cuxhaven for Scotland. Consisting of four segments, the tower has a total height of 106 metres and a diameter of 7.33 metres at the base flange, making it the largest of its kind.
In the last three months AMBAU GmbH has produced two gigantic towers for Siemens Wind Power GmbH at its plant in Cuxhaven.
